UK University Tour for US and Canadian Counselors (12 - 17 March 2017)

It has never been a better time to visit UK universities!

The British Council is offering a counselor tour of the South West region's cultural and education institutions for US and Canadian-based high school counselors. We are particularly seeking applications from college counselors who represent student populations interested in studying in the UK.

This week-long tour of university campus and cultural institutions will highlight university study opportunities and short-term study options for high schoolers and visiting school groups. We seek to showcase the world-class opportunities and strength of innovation offered to undergraduates by UK higher education, in diverse and engaging new ways, and across all disciplines.

We will visit nine universities in the South West region, including University of Exeter, University of Bath, University of the West of England, Bristol... and many more. In addition to the university visits, a large networking fair will give counselors opportunities to meet with a wide array of institutions from across the rest of the UK. Sightseeing will also be an exciting part of our trip and is tentatively planned to include visits to Stonehenge, the Roman Baths, the South West coast, and more...

Special provision will be made to ensure counselors experience a range of educational institutions, that they are primed to understand the workings of UK admissions processes, and that they experience the best introduction to studying in the UK.

Counselors will be selected by the British Council. Selection for attendance on the tour will be prioritized according to the level of interest from their students for UK education.

For more information, and to apply, please visit: https://surveymonkey.com/r/8HQKDGH

Deadline to apply: January 9th, 2017. The cost of the trip is 620 GBP, which includes all ground transportation including airport transfers, six nights' accommodation, all campus tours and presentations, university networking fair, most meals, and cultural activities. Airfare is not included.
