The School provides a balanced academic, sporting and social curriculum that encourages each pupil to fulfill his or her own potential and become a confident, responsible and successful member of society.
We recognise that each child is an individual and we aim to promote the development of all-round talents, whether academic, creative or sporting, so that our pupils leave us well-equipped to deal with the challenges of higher education and beyond.
Visit our website for further information and we would also encourage you to attend one of our Open Mornings to get an insight into Farringtons life.
Everyone who visits Farringtons comments on the warmth of the welcome that they receive and especially the friendly, family atmosphere of our Boarding Houses. We offer our boarding pupils the opportunity to live as part of a community, supported by each other and by the professional care of our team of house staff. Within the Houses they mix with pupils of various ages, backgrounds and nationalities, enabling them to develop a strong social awareness.
Boarding here offers young people a relaxed but secure environment in which they can question, discover and flourish as individuals, secure in the knowledge that everyone looking after them wants the best for them.
The School takes care to provide the right resources for both study and leisure to create a purposeful, yet happy home life. Accommodation is in shared study bedrooms, with single study bedrooms for our Upper Sixth students, all with internet access.
The houses each have their own kitchen, common room, toilets and showers and most of our bedrooms contain two beds. The areas within these are maintained on a regular basis and refurbished/updated as necessary.
Every evening pupils have the opportunity to become involved in an activity and at weekends, an action-packed programme of cultural and leisure trips is organised, ensuring that a fun time is had by all!
We support overseas students by providing additional language tuition and personalised learning courses leading to IGCSE and IELTS qualifications. Accompanied airport transfers are organised at the beginning and end of terms.
Our School has excellent facilities situated within 25 acres of grounds, including a sports hall, swimming pool, library, dark room and computer suites enable a balance of academia, sport, activities and social events and provide a welcoming environment in which our pupils are able to learn.
We are located in the suburban town of Chislehurst, Kent and are within 30 minutes of London by train. This provides excellent links for the pupils that attend our School and enables us to provide day trips that complement pupils' education.
All pupils must sit our entrance exams, provide a School report and reference, and attend an interview at Farringtons School or via Skype for those abroad.
