Llandrillo College is a state Further and Higher Education College. It is located in a beautiful, safe and clean environment in North Wales, UK, by the sea and mountains. It around one hour from Manchester and Liverpool. The College received Grade 1 inspection results in the last Government inspection, and has one of the highest quality profiles in the UK. In 2009 the College won the British Council Beacon Award for International Student Support.
The College offers courses at all levels through from A levels, International Baccalaureate, Vocational courses, English and Foundation programmes to Foundation and Honours Degrees. The College specialises in Tourism and Hospitality and is a Centre of Excellence for this curriculum area.
The College recruits from a number of countries and there is a good mix of international students. It has high standards of achievement and over 90 per cent of students gain their qualifications and progress to university or employment. Over 95 per cent of A level and IB students pass their courses with high grades and some progress to top Universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.
A number of International students choose to stay at Llandrillo for Degree studies; over 20 programmes are available including Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Management and Culinary Arts. These are validated through the University of Wales.
The College offers a wide range of courses taught by professional, highly qualified and experienced staff. Choose from level three, specialised vocational training programmes to degree and professional courses. International students may further their studies by choosing many part-time courses at no extra cost. English language support is available to all international students.
Class sizes are small and tutors support students as individuals throughout the learning process. All students are allocated a personal tutor to support their academic support and guidance. In addition dedicated staff in the International office provide support with accommodation, welfare, finance and visa matters.
Students benefit from our modern campus with excellent learning facilities. These include Engineering, Construction, Motor Vehicle, Sustainable Energy and Marine workshops, Physics , Chemistry and Biology Laboratories, Art and Design, Photography, Music Technology, Performing Arts, Media, Sound and Video studios . Lecture Theatres and Class rooms have state-of-the-art digital technology and the College has over 1000 computers for students use, including a wi-fi enabled workshop.
The College Sports Centre is available for student use in the daytime or evening and has squash courts, fitness centre, full size gymnasium for five-a side football, basketball and badminton as well as outdoor football and rugby pitch. The College has a number of sporting academies including girls and boys Football, Rugby, Netball and Basketball.
Fees are very competitive and living costs in the area are comparatively low. A simple fee structure charges £4,500 PA for level three courses and £6,500 PA for Higher Education courses. 25 per cent scholarships are available on most courses. Host family accommodation is £85 per week full board.
English Language programmes are offered at three levels and include Pre-sessional summer programmes. Courses lead to IELTS and IGCSE. Personalised programmes can be available and these may include Summer School, vocational training plus English or short specialised courses.
The Colleges has a number of A level and Vocational partnerships with Institutions overseas and would be keen to discuss proposal with further Institutions.
