The RBC campus is set in beautiful parkland around an historic building with additional new, purpose-built buildings housing an extensive range of specialist studios, workshops, rehearsal and performance spaces. Our students have the highest standard of specialist facilities to match the quality of the teaching.
RBC recruits students from around the world and we offer auditions and interviews at selected locations worldwide. Our visits have recently included Australia, USA, Brazil, Iceland, Japan and Norway. Please contact us for further information.
Studying with us gives you the opportunity to see many of the world’s most innovative practitioners on the London stage. With hundreds of other theatrical events on any night of the week, you will have a unique chance to experience theatre in a way not possible anywhere else in the world.
Academic strengths
Our strengths lie in vocational and practice-based courses underpinned by sound theoretical knowledge. The programmes are rooted in established values, concepts and practices but embrace new ideas and technologies where they enhance and extend our ability to articulate ideas and communicate with an audience.
Facilities
The practice-based nature of our programmes requires an extensive range of specialist studios, workshops and rehearsal and performance spaces. These include two theatres, black box studio theatres, costume and scenery workshops, recording studios and suites and a Learning Resource Centre.
Student life
RBC has a friendly, community atmosphere - it's an exciting and vibrant place to study and students from all courses work closely together, replicating the processes of a professional theatre company to produce fully mounted productions. Small class sizes mean that you get to know your tutors well and benefit from increased support and guidance.
Our Student Union organises regular events throughout the year and there are a number of clubs and societies that you can get involved with, who meet regularly and organise events and activities.
The teaching year starts in September and applications to all full-time undergraduate courses must be made through UCAS.
