The University College’s single campus accommodates under 3,000 students on full-time courses with approximately 250 overseas students from around 50 countries studying on the whole range of courses. The University College’s strength lies in the quality of the staff and resources used to support learning and creative success. Our academics are practitioners in the creative industries sector with substantial experience of their respective disciplines. We also recognise that contemporary education in arts, design and media is underpinned by new technology and we boast a modern, professionally relevant environment with purpose-built studios, workrooms and teaching areas with industry-standard tools and equipment.
The Courses
The Arts University College Bournemouth offers a wide range of courses from short specialist summer programmes to full-time taught master's programmes. Preparation for higher education courses including one-year arts or media foundation, short or bespoke programmes and Study Abroad specialist programmes of ten weeks or longer offer international students flexible options.
The undergraduate courses (two-year foundation degrees and three-year BA (Hons) degrees) include architecture; acting; animation; arts and event management; costume and set design; fashion studies; digital media production; fine art; film production; illustration; interior architecture and design; graphic design; modelmaking; makeup for performance*, product design;* photography; textiles and visual communication.
The one-year, full-time taught postgraduate provision includes costume, fine art, photography, animation, graphic design* and interactive media* with further disciplines to be added in the future.

Location
Studying on the south coast of England undoubtedly provides a fantastic location to live and study. The local beaches of Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset are among the best in the country. Bournemouth has a lively, cosmopolitan feel, with the attractions and appeal of a large town without the disadvantages of life in a large city. With London two hours away and excellent ferry links to continental Europe it is ideally situated for easy access to the country’s capital and the rest of Europe.
Student Life
We pride ourselves on being able to provide a friendly and supportive environment for all students, especially those who are far away from home. The International Office assists students from their initial enquiry through the application process and then on until post-graduation. The sucessful pre-sessional course assists new higher education students to gain confidence, presentation and study skills in preparation for their new course.
