Academic strengths
Roehampton University has four academic Schools:
  • The School of Arts includes drama, theatre and performance, English literature and creative writing, film, media, music, journalism, dance, theology and history.
  • The School of Business and Social Sciences combines these two areas to provide skills that are indispensable to today's managers across the globe in the public and private sectors. Our management programmes draw on high-quality research and the ‘real-world’ experience of staff.
  • The School of Education has an international reputation. It boasts highly successful provision in the areas of early childhood and education studies and is positioned as one of the principal providers of initial teacher education in the UK.
  • The School of Human and Life Sciences works in the areas of bioscience, nutrition, sport science, health science, psychology, and counselling including arts and play therapies. Our dedicated laboratories are some of the most up to date in their respective fields.
