The University of Glamorgan is a dynamic institution with an exceptional record for academic excellence, teaching and research. In September 2007 we launched the new home of the Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries: ATRiuM, a cutting edge learning environment in the heart of Cardiff.
All of our courses across the faculties are designed to provide a balance of academic and work-related skills to give students a real advantage in today’s competitive job market.
Academic strengths
We have outstanding teaching quality and a reputation for academic excellence. We were rated 'Excellent' in 12 key subject areas in the national Teaching Quality Assessments (TQAs), including Accounting and Finance; Business and Management; Business Administration; Creative Writing; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Information Technology; Minerals Surveying; Public Sector Schemes; Surveying for Resource Development, Drama and more. The University of Glamorgan was shortlisted for the prestigious title of ‘University of the Year’ in the 2007 Times Higher Awards.
