The University of Greenwich offers the best of both worlds; city and country. As a student you would be on the doorstep of London, but we also offer the cream of Kent - rolling hills, pub-to-pub walks and seaside resorts. The University traces its roots to 1890, and over the years a range of specialist organisations have joined the institution, giving it the diverse strengths it has today in subjects such as architecture, business, computing, engineering and sciences.
The University has three campuses, all housed within buildings of historical importance: Avery Hill and Greenwich in London, and Medway in Kent. The University is proud of its diverse student body. People from more than 100 countries choose to study at Greenwich, part of an international student community of 4,500.

Facilities
Students have access to extensive library and computing facilities on each campus, but each has a unique offering of its own. At the Avery Hill campus is a TV studio with 1000 square feet of floor space, expert media support staff, and a 'virtual bookshop'. The Maritime Greenwich campus offers a 200-PC computing facility and bookshop, as well as a dedicated Language Centre for those studying a foreign language, or supplementing their English language skills.
Students at the Medway campus enjoy the benefit of a massive expansion of facilities. The campus has modern workshops and equipment, including a computer-aided design studio, and training dispensary for pharmacy students. The campus has a Centre for Sports and Exercise Science with the latest in 3D movement and force analysis equipment, enabling researchers to help professional athletes improve technique and avoid injury.
The Student Affairs Office on each campus provides a range of services and support, from the time you arrive, to the completion of your studies and a dedicated international advisor is available on all campuses. The Jobshop operates a drop-in service, where you can obtain details of on and off campus job opportunities, and get information on employment related issues. The in-depth orientation programme when you arrive provides information from living in the UK, opening bank accounts to medical services and social events.
Student life
Activities outside of your academic studies also play an essential part of your student experience. The students union provides access to a range of facilities, services and activities, as well as discounts on a variety of products and services. Free skills training is available to students through our training scheme BITE (Be Involved To Evolve), helping you study, live and work more effectively and can improve your job prospects.

'The University of Greenwich appealed to me because of the long reputation of providing quality education, particularly in the field of Engineering and Management. The historic location was a major factor; the setting of the campus is beautiful, in close proximity to the countryside in Kent and the bustling city of London. It is easy to get around and have the best of both worlds.
The application process was easy; the University approached me with all I needed, from the initial application through to arriving in the UK. I chose this particular MSc as it was so balanced in terms of providing technical and practical knowledge, the structure of the modules offered means I am open to the possibilities of study in many directions. I am positive that my employment prospects will be vastly improved having studied here, this is a place where you not only learn, but also get involved in outside activities. You will experience one of the best times of your life.'
