The University of Brighton is a thriving academic community of about 21,000 students and is a genuinely international university. In the year 2007-2008 we had approximately 1,200 international students from over 90 countries worldwide and a similar number of European Union students studying at our campuses in Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings. Many of our staff come from overseas or have taught abroad and a number of our courses have a strong international theme incorporating case studies, work placements and opportunities to study abroad. This rich mixture of nationalities and cultural backgrounds, along with our international outlook, gives the University a truly cosmopolitan feel.

The University of Brighton has an excellent graduate employment record. The University’s research is of international quality with many of the researchers recognised as international experts in their fields.

We have one of the best graduate employment records in the UK. Our students OF 94 per cent are in employment or further studies six months after graduation. We are proud of the high quality of our teaching and research as evidenced by the Quality Assurance Agency teaching assessment results and Research Assessment Exercise ratings.
The University offers a range of English language courses if you need to improve your English before you start your course. Free English language support classes are also offered throughout your chosen course of study. The University also offers a generous range of international student scholarships.
London is 50 minutes away from Brighton and 90 minutes from Eastbourne or Hastings by train. Gatwick Airport is only 30 minutes from Brighton and 45 minutes from Eastbourne by train.
