Qualifying Details
The Economics Department operates a Teaching Assistant scheme, under which a number of PhD students are appointed on the basis of an annual competition. The duties of a Teaching Assistant are to conduct small-group teaching sessions on the undergraduate economics programme, and to undertake course work marking and examination grading. PhD students who have successfully completed the first year of MPhil/PhD programme are eligible to apply for these posts.
