Qualifying Details
These studentships are open to home or EU research students holding a 2.1 or above. The awards, made annually and covering home tuition fees as well as providing a maintenance grant are tenable for three years. School of Computer Science International Research Studentships are also available for applicants from outside the European Union who will work full time on their research degree. These studentships last for up to three years. Applicants for these scholarships must have an excellent academic record (for instance being first in their course) and an excellent command of English. Research students are required to demonstrate for up to six hours a week during term time - for which there is an extra hourly payment in addition to the studentship. Minimum payment for 2008/2009: £12,800 pa and tuition fees. Deadline for applications: 15 July. Contact the School directly for further details.
