UCAS gives you Extra
www.ucas.com New innovation from UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service), Extra, gives students another chance before clearing to secure a university place. If a student has declined or been turned down by their original university choices, they should be eligible to join Extra. If this is the case, you'll be notified by UCAS with your final decision letter.
You can use Extra in one of two ways: online access to Extra using the Applicant Enquiries Service on the UCAS website; or a paper-based Extra Passport, which is similar to a Clearing Entry Form.
Using Extra you can make additional applications to universities, one at a time. It's important to check Course Search on the website to confirm which courses are prepared to consider Extra applicants. If you're successful and receive either a conditional or unconditional offer, you'll be withdrawn from Extra. However, if you're unsuccessful with your first choice you can try and apply for another university. For everything you need to know about UCAS and the application process, see www.ucas.com
