Glencoe is one of Scotland's most historic and scenic glens.
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs is Scotland's only national park. Designated in 2002, it is also the UK's newest. From the rolling landscapes in the south to the mountains in the north, the many lochs, forests and woodlands that cover the 720 square miles have many contrasts.
Loch Lomond itself is the largest expanse of freshwater in Great Britain. The added bonus of the Trossachs lies in the fact they are less than an hour from Glasgow and little more from Edinburgh.
