What do you think about
the collaboration between
yourself and Bailey?
|
| I met Bailey because I was
taking his photo and he was
taking mine. People have
compared our work in the
past but it isn't just the photography
that is similar, it's our
passion for photography.
|
 |
| You work digitally now, how has that changed the
art of photography?
|
| It is completely different. You get this immediate reaction from
people when they see the images. I try and include people in
the process as much as I can.
|
 |
| How do you cope with criticism? |
| With photography you never think you have done the perfect
image, or at least I don't.You are always striving to get a better
photo, to do a better project.
|
 |
| What advice would you give to young aspiring talent? |
| Do your own thing! Don't let yourself be carried away by copying
other peoples' work. Just experiment as much as you can and try
and find your own way of looking at things. Always be your
biggest critic and never be embarrassed about it. Don't worry
about failing because it happens all the time. Just remember, 90
per cent of the craft is about hard work and knowing the basic
principles and techniques, and 10 per cent of it is creativity.

 |
| Where do you see the future of photography in the UK? |
| It is more experimental as people are trying out different
things. The UK has some of the best photographers in the world
at the moment, such as Martin Parr and Nick Night. There is a
definite hunger in the UK.
