Applying for a UK student visa
Before you begin your UK education, check to see if you need a visa. If you do, there are several types of study visa, depending on your age, the length of your course and the level at which you plan to study.

Pre-entry TB screening requirements in Malaysia will be effective from 31 December 2012 for all applicants applying for a visa to the UK for 6 months or longer.
If you want to travel to the UK for longer than 6 months you must be screened and obtain a certificate from an approved clinic to show that you are free of TB before you make a UK visa application. The UK Border Agency has set up a network of approved clinicians in Malaysia.
