London Metropolitan University had their Tier 4 visa licence withdrawn on 29 August 2012. This decision by the UK Border Agency means London Metropolitan University can no longer sponsor students from outside the European Economic Area with a Tier 4 visa.

What is being done to support students affected by this decision?
A government-led taskforce has been created, which includes the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), the UK Higher Education International Unit, Universities UK, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the UK Border Agency and the National Union of Students.
The taskforce will work with London Metropolitan to support those affected and enable appropriately qualified genuine students to find another institution where they can continue their studies in the UK. The taskforce will start work immediately.
