'Bodor Almatrouk is from Kuwait, taking a Pre-sessional English course before going on to her BEng degree in Electronic Engineering'

Bodor Almatrouk
Name: Bodor Almatrouk
Institute: English language school
Studying: Pre-sessional English
Home country: Kuwait

‘I wanted to improve my English so I wouldn’t struggle during my BEng Electronic Engineering degree. As most people in my class don’t speak the same language we are forced to speak English. I’ve improved my vocabulary so much and I’m much more confident about talking in English, before I was shy.

'Right now we are working on a presentation about the degree we are going to do after the English language course. I think this will help us. I’m going to talk about electronic tablets such as the iPad and what they may be like in five years’ time.

'If you want to learn English, it’s better to live in a city where most of the people speak it. In your own country you can’t practise your English that much but here you can practise English everywhere. The classes here are amazing. I think it’s better to take English classes in the UK.’
