Apply to study through UCAS (2013 applications)

These are the key dates for your UCAS application for undergraduate study in the UK:

• Mid-September 2012 (the year before the course starts) – 2013 applications open.
• 15 October 2012 – closing date for applications to courses in medicine, dentistry, veterinary sciences/medicines and Oxford and Cambridge universities.
• 15 January 2013 – closing date for EEA students, except for art and design courses with a 24 March deadline.
• 31 March 2013 - if you sent your application by 15 January, UK institutions should send their decisions to UCAS by this date (but they can take longer).
• 8 May 2013 – if UCAS receive decisions from your UK institutions by 31 March, you need to reply to any offers by this date. If you don’t, UCAS will decline offers on your behalf.
• 9 May 2013 - if you sent your application by 15 January, UK institutions must send their decisions to UCAS by this date. If they don't, UCAS will make any outstanding choices unsuccessful on their behalf.
• 6 June 2013 - if UCAS receive decisions from your UK institutions by 9 May, you need to reply to any offers by this date. If you don’t, UCAS will decline offers on your behalf.
• 30 June 2013 – closing date for international students outside of the EEA.
• 18 July 2013 – if you sent your application by 30 June, UK institutions will send their decision to UCAS by this date.
• 25 July 2013 - if UCAS receive decisions from your UK institutions by 18 July, you need to reply to any offers by this date. If you don’t, UCAS will decline offers on your behalf.

Things to think about when choosing the right UK institution for you:

• Does it have the facilities you need?
• Is it in the city or the countryside?
• Is it on campus?
• Is it close to UK friends/relatives?
• Can you cover the course fees?
• Is there any accommodation on offer?
• Can you cover the cost of living?

Il existe des dates clés pour votre demande d’inscription avec UCAS pour les études undergraduate au Royaume-Uni

• Mi-septembre (l’année précédant le début de la formation) – les inscriptions sont ouvertes.
• 15 octobre – date de clôture pour les demandes d’inscription pour les formations en médecine, dentaire ou sciences/médecine ainsi que les universités de Cambridge et d’Oxford.

• 31 mars– si vous avez envoyé votre demande avant le 15 janvier, les établissements du Royaume-Uni devraient faire parvenir leur décision à l’UCAS d’ici cette date (mais ils peuvent prendre plus longtemps).
• 5 mai – si l’UCAS reçoit la décision de vos établissements du Royaume-Uni avant le 31 mars, vous devez donner votre réponse pour toute offre reçue avant cette date. Dans le cas contraire, l’UCAS déclinera les offres à votre place.
• 7 mai - si vous avez envoyé votre demande avant le 15 janvier, les établissements du Royaume-Uni doivent impérativement faire parvenir leurs décisions à l’UCAS. Dans le cas contraire, l’UCAS rendra caduque tout choix en attente à leur place.
• 8 juin– si l’UCAS reçoit les décisions des établissements du Royaume-Uni d’ici le 7 mai, il se peut que vous deviez répondre à toute offre reçue, avant cette date. Dans le cas contraire, l’UCAS déclinera les offres à votre place.
• 30 juin – date de clôture pour les étudiants étrangers en dehors de l’EEA
• 20 juillet – si vous avez envoyé votre demande avant le 30 juin, les établissements du Royaume-Uni feront parvenir leurs décisions à l’UCAS avant cette date.
• 27 juillet - si l’UCAS reçoit les décisions des établissements du Royaume-Uni avant le 20 juillet, vous devez donner votre réponse pour toute offre reçue avant cette date. Dans le cas contraire, l’UCAS déclinera les offres à votre place.
