Entry requirements vary in different UK institutions. You will usually need a first degree, as well as business and management experience, so MBA students tend to be at least 25 and may be in their 40s, with considerable experience of senior management. Many institutions also require students to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
The reputation of the business school you choose to study at is an important factor. Ask schools to name the companies that recruit from their MBA programmes and find out what organisations the school's alumni now work for. At schools where the GMAT is used, try to find out the average student's score - this will give you an indication of the quality of the school's MBAs.
