'Several UK universities have opened satellite campuses in 2011, in countries around the globe. With a growing choice of locations, it's never been easier to study for a UK qualification in country which suits you'

UK qualifications in your own country
The secret is out: if you want to give your career a head start, it's a good idea to think internationally from the start. UK universities are expanding their reach to reflect this.

Universities such as Bolton, Middlesex and Heriot-Watt have all launched satellite campuses in countries such as China, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. And in 2010, international students enrolled on UK degree courses outside the UK outnumbered international students learning in the UK for the first time.

If you choose to study at a satellite campus, you'll find your institutions subject to the same strict quality control as its parent university in the UK. Plus you'll gain a globally recognised degree from a prestigious UK institution.

Qualifications too, are regarded as equal from both UK and overseas campuses and this has advantages for students of all ages. At universities such as Middlesex and Nottingham, students can study for part of their degrees on different campuses because the core courses are the same.

The reasons for choosing to study on a satellite campus vary. For some, it's simply a question of practicality - staying closer to home while studying at an internationally respected university offering a high-quality education. For others, religious and cultural considerations have a part to play.
