There are many ways to keep up your English language skills when you return home.
You'll find a wide range of support online including free-to-use resources on the British Council's LearnEnglish website (www.britishcouncil.org/learnenglish).
LearnEnglish is designed to support you, whatever your level of English and whatever your learning style. Activities range from reading activities and grammar exercises, to podcasts, videos, mobile apps and games.
Other ideas to keep your English skills up-to-date back home include:
- join an alumni association
- read English language papers, such as The Guardian (www.guardian.co.uk) , The Independent (www.independent.co.uk) or The Telegraph (www.telegraph.co.uk)
- read the news in English and listen to podcasts, for example on the BBC news website (www.bbc.co.uk/news)
- set up a language exchange with an English-speaking person who wants to learn your home language.
Remember, the most important thing is to make sure you practise as often as possible!
